Cranberry students receive Walker award

Cranberry students Haylee Blauser, Karli Schneider and McKenzie Deloe (from left, starting second from left) received the Larry Walker Memorial SEI (Service, Effort and Initiative) Award at the Cranberry Lions Club meeting Monday. The bi-annual award recognizes three seventh- and/or eighth-grade students who demonstrate exemplary service, effort and initiative in their school and in the community. The winners were nominated and selected by their teachers and school counselor Lori Corbett. Cranberry Lion Joe Cangemi (right) and Corbett presented the winners at the dinner. Each winner received a certificate, gift card and dinner from the Lions Club. Also pictured is Cranberry Lions president Frank Machokas.
