Balloon Artist Desiree Davis makes art for children at the St. Joseph Church annual 4th of July celebration last year.

The 85th annual Lucinda St. Joseph Church July 4th celebration will be held Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the parish grounds, featuring all-you-can-eat chicken and ham dinners, games, live entertainment, a quilt auction, and a grand prize drawing worth over $10,000. Entertainment begins at 10 a.m., and festivities include face painting, a balloon artist, and a quilt tent, with both indoor and outdoor dining available. The celebration continues with the Liberty 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, July 6, at the Lucinda Train Station, starting at 8 a.m. Proceeds from both events will benefit St. Joseph Catholic School.
