The Franklin Area School Board approved several contracts and salary increases for the 2025-26 school year, including a 5% raise for Superintendent Eugene Thomas, Business Manager Kimberly Eaton, and other staff, as well as one-time $2,500 retirement contributions for Thomas and Eaton. New salaries will be nearly $138,000 for Thomas and over $109,000 for Eaton, with principals earning between $95,700 and $112,000. The board also approved multiple service agreements for special education, medical services, and insurance, while noting a rise in commercial insurance costs. Lacey Lowman was hired as high school nurse, and several grants and donations were accepted to support preschool classrooms and the track team. The board also discussed future facilities planning and reviewed updates to safety and operations policies, with the next meeting set for July 21.
