2 juveniles accused of fleeing police

 Two juveniles are facing charges are they allegedly tried to flee police Friday on all-terrain vehicles in Sugarcreek Borough.

Sugarcreek police said officers attempted to stop two ATVs being operated by a 15-year-old male and 16-year-male on Martin Hill Road at about 6:15 p.m.

Both juveniles failed to stop and attempted to flee, police said.

The ATVs were stopped by the officer after they drove through a field and into the woods, police said.

Both juveniles were taken into custody and are facing charges of fleeing or attempting to elude, operating an ATV on roadways and other similar offenses.

The 16-year-old is also being charged with underage possession of alcohol.

Both juveniles were released to their parents.
