2 organizations team up to provide holiday gifts

Pennies from Heaven, now in its 30th year, has partnered with the Clarion Kindness Project to help working Clarion County families and single parents provide Christmas gifts for their children. The program assists kids from birth to age 13 through Pennies from Heaven and ages 14–18 through the Clarion Kindness Project. Families must live in Clarion County, have custody of their children, be working, and not receive holiday assistance from another program. Donors can drop off items like toys, books, clothing, and other gifts at the Christmas tree and donation box near customer service at the Clarion Walmart, where tags list children’s ages, genders, and gift ideas. Families in need can register by calling 814-319-8636 by Nov. 26 and will receive a postcard for the Dec. 11 drive-through pickup at Zion Church. Free transportation is available through Clarion Taxi by calling 814-226-8635. Monetary donations may be mailed to Pennies from Heaven or the Clarion Kindness Project.
