4-H Wild Hogs club creates blankets for patients

From staff reports

As part of Pennsylvania 4-H week which was celebrated last month, members of the Wild Hogs 4-H Club worked to purchase, make and deliver blankets to patients at the Titusville Area Hospital oncology department.

Wild Hogs members interacted with patients who received the blankets and shared their 4-H story. Some stories included 4-H events they have attended to gain leadership skills and the names of their pigs they recently purchased to raise.

Five blankets were made for the hospital, three of which were handed out to patients during the celebration of Pennsylvania 4-H Week.

The other two are being left at the hospital for those in need to use at their leisure while receiving treatments.

The Wild Hogs 4-H Club is open to youth ages 5-18 who are interested in developing leadership and independence skills, animal science knowledge and gaining a sense of community.
