Central Electric Cooperative has selected five area high school juniors to attend the annual Youth Tour in Washington, D.C., where more than 1,800 students from across the country will meet with members of Congress, tour the U.S. Capitol and visit national landmarks. Local participants include ChishaBetty Watson, Joseph Spence, Airabella Wheeler, Violet Scardina, and Sarah Lessner. The trip is free for students and is funded through unclaimed capital credits, ensuring it does not affect cooperative members’ rates.
