The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is inviting the public to review plans for a project to repair sections of four roadways in Venango, Forest, Crawford and Warren counties where poor ground conditions have caused deteriorating road surfaces. The work will include retaining walls, roadway reconstruction and sheet pile installation on Bully Hill Road in Franklin, Route 666 in Forest County, Steen Hill Road in Crawford County and Scandia Road in Warren County, with detours or traffic controls expected for about a month at each location. Construction is planned for the 2026–27 seasons and is expected to cost between $1 million and $2.5 million using federal disaster mitigation funds. Residents can view plans and submit comments online or contact the project manager for more information.
