Members of American Legion Post 102 in Brookville recently made spirits a little brighter by dropping off holiday gifts for 38 veterans residing at Jefferson Manor, McKinley Health Care Center and Brookside Senior Living in Brookville.
“This is our way of letting these veterans who served their country that they are not forgotten,” Post 102 Commander Steve Ent said.
The veterans were given either an Afghan, created by Andrea Smith, or a Gingerbread house. In addition, each veteran was given a cash gift that can be used for the purchase of personal items.
