Catholic Foundation awards grant to St. Stephen School

From staff reports

Students at St. Stephen School in Oil City will have an opportunity to expand their use of STEM skills thanks to funding from the Catholic Foundation of Northwest Pennsylvania.

A $4,992 grant to Venango Region Catholic School, which includes St. Stephen School, will purchase competition robots for St. Stephen fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade students in the school’s STEM robotics program.

Greg Knox wrote in the grant application that “we want to equip our students with the skills to meet an ever-changing world. Through learning about robotics and coding with VEX IQ, we can put our students on that path to success.”

This grant complements several previous technology grants that have been awarded to Venango Region Catholic School from the Catholic Foundation.
