Clarion Borough swears in new council during reorganization

Clarion Borough Council welcomed newly elected members Kaitlyn Whitling, Helen Hampikian and Andrew Harbaugh during its recent reorganizational meeting, while Christy Logue had previously taken her oath following the November election. Carol Lapinto was reappointed as council president, Logue was named vice president and several board and staff appointments were confirmed. During the regular meeting that followed, council announced a vacant two-year council seat and opened the application process to eligible borough residents through Jan. 29. Council also assigned committee roles, approved a $300,000 tax anticipation note, announced an additional Jan. 20 meeting, reminded residents of snow removal requirements and made several financial and board appointments.
