Clarion-Limestone student wins art competition

U.S. Rep. Glenn Thompson announced that Clarion-Limestone High School sophomore Emma Zacherl won the 2025 Congressional Art Competition for her oil painting titled *“Waiting,”* selected from 72 entries by an independent panel. Zacherl, who also won the 2024 competition, will have her artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol for a year and is invited to a June reception in Washington, D.C. Other local winners include Madison Ray (third place) and Kaleb Gooden (fourth). The competition, launched in 1982, showcases the artistic talents of high school students from across the nation.
