A $1.9 million bridge repair project on Route 58 over Wolf Creek in Grove City is set to begin May 12, pending weather conditions, according to PennDOT. Located near Grove City College, the project will replace the bridge’s superstructure and includes repairs to the abutments and pier, new concrete beams, deck, barriers, paving, guiderails, and line painting. The 1967 bridge is currently rated in poor condition. A 15-week detour using Routes 208, 8, and 58 will begin around August 23. Plum Contracting, Inc. of Greensburg will carry out the work, funded entirely by the state, with completion expected by late October.
