Cranberry woman accused of arson

A Cranberry Township woman is facing multiple charges after a home on Tippery Road burned down Saturday, with state police alleging the fire was intentionally set. According to a criminal complaint, 43-year-old Aleisha Marie Wilson admitted she started several small fires on a bed using a lighter following an argument with her boyfriend, later saying she did it to get help because the house was dilapidated. Investigators said Wilson took photos of the fire, told her boyfriend she would not call the fire department, and that firefighters from Seneca Volunteer Fire Department were put in danger due to the severity of the blaze, which required heavy equipment to knock down the structure. The home did not belong to Wilson, and she has been charged with several felony counts including arson and reckless burning, along with reckless endangerment. She is being held in Venango County Prison with bail denied, and her preliminary hearing is scheduled today.
