At its first meeting of 2026, the Venango County Economic Development Authority approved several contracts, including two tied to the proposed Venango Sports and Recreation Center in Cranberry Township: a $5,000 branding and digital “kickstart” contract with Future Cortex funded by a McElhattan Foundation grant, and a $21,500 architectural and design services contract with Desome Architects, both recommended by the Cranberry Recreation Board. The board also approved a $4,695 contract with RE Johnson Electric to relocate an electric car charging station.
