Cyclists travel from near and far to participate in the 4th annual Roughneck Gravel Roubaix

Cyclists at the Roughneck Gravel Roubaix make the turn onto Titusville’s South Martin Street after heading out through the inflatable archway on East Mechanic Street at 9 a.m. Saturday.

The fourth annual Roughneck Gravel Roubaix brought over 300 dedicated cyclists to Titusville despite cool temperatures and steady rain during Memorial Day weekend. Centered around the lively Titusville Iron Works, the event featured six ride options, including a grueling 251.1-mile endurance route through challenging terrain, completed solely by Rob Alexander in just over 27 hours. Vendors, volunteers, and enthusiastic participants filled the venue, with new additions like student-designed rider medals adding a local touch. While wet conditions and gear concerns impacted turnout, riders and volunteers praised the event’s organization and atmosphere.
