Disc golf idea tossed around in Clarion County

Pastor Tom Switzer, an avid disc golf enthusiast, proposed building a disc golf course at Clarion County Park during a public commissioners meeting. Highlighting the sport’s low cost, growing popularity, and minimal environmental impact, Switzer said volunteers would build the course and estimated the total cost at \$18,000, to be covered by fundraising and sponsorships. The proposed mile-long course would follow the park’s perimeter, requiring some light construction like fairways, bridges, and fencing. County officials, including Commissioner Ted Tharan, expressed interest and plan to review the proposal further.
