Fourth graders explore middle school during Move Up Day

Fourth grade students from Hasson Heights Elementary hear about summer programs from the Dairy Princess on Tuesday’s Move Up Day at the Oil City Middle School.

Fourth graders from Hasson Heights and Seventh Street Elementary schools visited Oil City Middle School on Tuesday for the district’s Move Up Day, helping them prepare for their transition to fifth grade. A total of 128 students toured the school, enjoyed lunch, and attended presentations from local organizations such as the YMCA, 4-H, and the Oil City Police and Fire Departments. The event introduced students to summer activity options while familiarizing them with their future school environment. Principal Amy Highfield noted the students’ enthusiasm, especially for the middle school lunch.
