The junior student council at Franklin High School placed baskets in each advisory for students in grades 7-8. Items that students donated include stuffed animals, blankets, books, notebooks and more for the program Roots, a Northwest Pennsylvania organization that works to assist foster children. These baskets were given to the foster children to help transition them into placement. For more information, contact www.roots-nwpa.org. A few members of the student council include, from left, McKenzy Thomas, Kaydence Reisinger, Chloe Switzer, Evelynn Highfield and Zoey Wolfe. Melissa Winslow is the student council advisor at Franklin.
