Franklin Area Meals on Wheels is a nonprofit that has served the community for over 50 years by delivering affordable, nutritious meals to seniors and individuals recovering at home. With the help of at least 60 volunteer drivers each month, the organization provides six meals a week—one hot and one cold meal on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays—for just \$9, thanks to grant funding. Meals are prepared at Sugar Creek Care Center and can be customized for dietary needs, such as diabetes. Delivery covers areas within a 10-mile radius, including Cooperstown, Polk, and Utica, and clients also receive free meals on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
