Halloween Bash at Central Elementary enjoys terrific turnout

Franklin Elk members Brenda Westover & Stephanie Salcedo help with treats at Friday’s Halloween Bash.

The Central Elementary and Franklin Elks Lodge #110’s first-ever Halloween Bash on Friday night drew a much larger crowd than expected, with more than 400 people attending instead of the anticipated 150. Originally planned for the Elks lodge, the event was moved to Central Elementary to accommodate the turnout. The evening featured a DJ and dance party, trick-or-treating, games, a photo booth, and informational displays about the Elks’ community and school support programs. Attendees also enjoyed a light meal, cookies, and treats provided by the Elks. Central Elementary PTO President Jess Carroll said it was a fun collaboration, marking the first time the Elks directly participated in hosting the event. Elks member Peg O’Polka said the partnership was a great way for the organization to connect with the community.
