Baked Goods From Heaven wins Venango sandwich contest

Baked Goods From Heaven owner Heaven Daugherty shows off her award from Venango Museum of Art, Science and Industry’s “Best Sandwich In The County” contest for 2025.

Baked Goods From Heaven, located in Oil City, won the Venango Museum of Art, Science and Industry’s “Best Sandwich In The County” contest for 2025. Their “Outlaw Burger” was chosen as the best by contest participants.

The contest ran from June 1 to Aug. 31 and featured 12 participating restaurants from across Venango County. The general public purchased entry cards from the Venango Museum, which entitled them to vote and try one of each sandwich entered into the contest at 50% off. Proceeds from entry card sales benefited the Venango Museum, a nonprofit organization.

Other participating restaurants included Billy’s, Casey’s Restaurant & Lounge, Coal Oil Johnny’s Eatery, Eat ‘N Park (Franklin location), Kings Family Restaurant (Franklin location), Mac’s Snax, Main Street Market, Plaza Restaurant, Stillers Meats And Smokehouse, Valley Dairy Restaurant (Cranberry location), and Woods & River Coffee.
