With rain holding off, about two dozen hikers from the Clarion County Chapter of the North Country Trail Association and the Butler Outdoor Club took part in a six-mile winter hike Saturday along the Allegheny River rail trail from Foxburg to Emlenton. The outing highlighted the groups’ shared love of accessible winter hiking, strong regional collaboration, ongoing trail development plans in the Foxburg area, and their continued efforts to welcome new members, volunteers and long-distance North Country Trail hikers.
