Horror-themed escape room now open at mall

Chiller Night Escape Experience by Bryan Hogue from Hogue Entertainment has opened in the Cranberry Mall.

The new business is open by appointment and offers a horror-themed escape room as well as a retail portion. It is located near the food court in the former Label Shopper store.

Hogue said the escape room is called, “Zombie Outbreak,” and incorporates more than one room.

The scenario of the escape room is “You are in a laboratory and zombies have taken over the facility. You have an hour to get out before you are taken over by the living dead,” said Hogue.

Hogue said people may want to attempt the escape room because they feel they can do better than the characters in horror shows.

“Have you ever watched a horror movie and found yourself yelling at the TV, ‘Stay out of the elevator. Don’t go in there!’ We feel that we can navigate a number of haunted scenarios,” said Hogue.

Hogue plans to add a haunted house and use the location to film “Chiller Night Theater,” which began in 2008. The show appears on Stream TV on Saturday nights.
