LIFE Northwestern facility moving ahead

Nate Simmons and Jared Fremer of Jewell Electric work on putting in an electrical outlet outside the new LIFE Northwestern PA facility at 800 Grandview Road in Oil City. LIFE stands for Living Independence For the Elderly, and its goal is “to help individuals live independently, while focusing on helping them stay in their own homes and communities for as long as possible by providing them with all-inclusive care,” according to the organization’s website. The Grandview Road site is owned by David Brody, who will be leasing the property out to LIFE Northwestern PA, Oil City city manager Mark Schroyer said Friday. Site superintendent Jason McNutt of Sligo-based CBF Contracting, which is constructing the facility, said the building should be complete by the end of May. (By Helen Fielding)
