CLARION – Work to replace a bridge on Route 861 that spans Wildcat Run in Madison Township, Clarion County, is scheduled to start Monday, Aug. 22, according to PennDOT. The work is part of PennDOT’s Rapid Bridge Replacement Project.
The bridge will be built one-half at a time allowing one lane of alternating traffic controlled by a traffic signal to remain open throughout the project. Construction of the bridge will take approximately 10 weeks to complete.
The bridge was built in 1958 and averages 923 vehicles a day.
