Man already facing many charges accused of stealing motorcycle

A Rimersburg man who is facing charges in five counties has been accused of stealing a motorcycle from a business on Route 257 in Cranberry Township at the end of May.

Franklin state police said in a criminal complaint that James Ganoe III, 32, arrived at Legends of Seneca on May 30 and inquired about purchasing a motorcycle, saying he had a large quantity of cash in the dump truck he was driving.

Store employees showed him a motorcycle in the warehouse, which he requested to test drive, but the employee said he couldn’t test drive it because they didn’t have dealer plates for the motorcycle, the complaint said.

After further negotiations, Ganoe told the employees he couldn’t buy a motorcycle he hadn’t taken for a test drive and then he left the store, the complaint said.

A short time later, witnesses said they saw Ganoe drive past the front windows of the store on the motorcycle and then head south on Route 257, according to the complaint.

During the investigation, police also learned that the dump truck Ganoe had driven to the scene had been stolen from Clarion Borough, the complaint said.

Witnesses were able to identify Ganoe from photos on his social media as the man who stole the motorcycle, the compliant said.

Ganoe was charged with felony counts of burglary-overnight accommodations person present, theft by unlawful taking of movable property and receiving stolen property.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled June 12 in Venango County Central Court.

Ganoe is facing many other charges, including multiple felony charges involving vehicle theft and burglary, from at least seven other incidents this year in Clarion, Butler, Armstrong and Allegheny counties.

According to court documents, he is being held in the Clarion County jail after being unable to post bail on charges there.
