An Oil City man was arrested and charged with assault following an incident Tuesday. Franklin state police said Benjamin Yashinski, 28, of West First Street, assaulted a woman at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday at a location in Cranberry Township. A warrant was obtained for Yashinski, and he was arrested and then arraigned before district judge Patrick Lowrey on a simple assault charge. Yashinski was placed in the Venango County jail after failing to post $25,000 bail.
