Man waives hearing in gun-theft case

From staff reports

An Ohio man accused of pointing a pistol at a girl’s head waived his preliminary hearing on Wednesday in Venango County Central Court.

Samuel Marc Clark, 18, of Masury, Ohio, is charged with felony counts of robbery, theft by unlawful taking of moveable property and receiving stolen property; and misdemeanor counts simple assault, terroristic threats with intent to terrorize another and recklessly endangering another person.

Charges against Clark stem from an incident on July 31 in which Clark is accused of pointing a pistol at a juvenile girl during a party in Sugarcreek.

According to Sugarcreek police, the girl told police that Clark pointed the weapon at her after she confronted him that the pistol, which had fallen out of Clark’s pocket earlier in the evening, looked like her father’s.

Police said Clark told the girl that he needed the pistol because he was about to have warrants for his arrest.

Clark was later arrested on Aug. 2 by Pymatuning Township police after a reported robbery in Pymatuning.
