Monte Carlo Trail Ride set Oct. 1 at Two Mile

From staff reports

The National Horse Lovers Association’s popular Monte Carlo Trail Ride will return Saturday, Oct. 1, at the Lockwood horse camp at Two Mile Run County Park.

The event is open to the public.

People who want to register for the four-hour trail ride may do so from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. the day of the ride.

The ride will include at least six game tables, and the first riders will be sent out at 9 a.m.

People who don’t have horses can use their car to drive to the game tables.

The ride will end at 3 p.m.

The cost to register is $20 at the door, and dinner is included. Guests can take a lunch with them.

There will be cash prizes for the top two and lowest scores, a 50/50 raffle and more.

Proceeds raised at the event will be used to benefit local trail systems.

Overnight camping is available at the Lockwood camp, and all overnight camping arrangements must be made through the park prior to the ride date by calling (814) 676-6116.
