The fire started in a kitchen in one of the apartments and traveled into the attic, which was shared by all the apartments, Frazier said.
The blaze then ran down from the attic into the basement, according to Frazier. Three apartments caught fire and two of them were significantly damaged, Frazier said.
In addition to Titusville, other fire departments that responded were from Hydetown, Spartansburg, Townville, Cherrytree, Pleasantville, Chapmanville, Corry, Oil City and Cornplanter, according to 911.
