Oil City police investigating reports of windshields being smashed

The Oil City police department is investigating multiple reports of car windshields being smashed on the South Side early Friday morning.

Police chief Bob Wenner said the department is looking into about four to five incidents that took place sometime between midnight and 5 a.m.

At this time, police said they believe the acts are random and independent of each other, as there is no evidence to the contrary.
