Oil Country Bluegrass Festival returning

From staff reports

After a two-year hiatus as a result of the pandemic, Venango County Court-Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) and the Oil City Arts Council are bringing back the Oil Country Bluegrass Festival.

The one-day event will be held Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Oil City Moose Club on Halyday Run Road.

The doors will open at 11 a.m., with the first performance beginning at noon.

At least 10 bluegrass bands will perform and the festival is expected to conclude at 10:30 p.m.

In addition to performances, the event will offer two 50/50 raffles, guitar, mandolin and banjo raffles, basket raffles, food and a cash bar.

Bluegrass bands requesting stage times may contact Ron Shoup at (814) 676-3465 or rshoup@csonline.net.

Further information pertaining to the festival will be released at a later date.
