Meet Apollo!
Apollo, a 60 lb., 16 month-old, Rottweiler (?) mix, is ready to romp his way into your heart. If you prefer dogs or puppies in size XL, who take up the whole couch during a football game–the kind of happy-go-lucky, rough and tumble dog whose ears flap like small wings chasing a ball, then perhaps you should schedule a time to meet Apollo. Apollo is “air tight” housetrained, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. Apollo came to us as a stray so there are some things we don’t know about his history. Apollo has never shown an ounce of aggression towards other dogs. For lack of training, he does play a little rough but he’s so sweet he will drop a ball from his mouth and tap it through the fence so that a dog on the other side can play with it. (Really.) Apollo needs a home without small children and would love a large, fenced yard for some safe, vigorous daily exercise. He needs a strong arm to walk him on leash. But it’s so easy to imagine Apollo bushwacking a trail with his person or people, or making a big splash in a local river. He’s kind of like a dog version of Indiana Jones. His best friend is Haven, a 50 lb., female Hound mix, who loves racing around the yard with him. If you’re looking for an action and adventure hero disguised as a Big Dog, Apollo would love to meet you. You can visit and adopt Apollo from the Tri-County Animal Rescue Center in Shippenville, Tuesday-Sunday!
