PetFest set for ‘bigger’ show

Franklin’s annual PetFest returns to Bandstand Park on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., raising funds for Precious Paws Animal Rescue with its largest event yet. The day will feature a pet show with six categories, a record-breaking basket raffle of more than 150 prizes, dog games, pet services, children’s activities, and food vendors. Highlights include an exotic pet show at 11 a.m., a Blessing of the Animals at 1 p.m., and the pet show at 2 p.m. Adoptable pets, low-cost vaccines, nail trims, and even Reiki for pets will be available, along with information on local spay-neuter and TNR programs. Proceeds will support Precious Paws’ mission to reduce stray animal populations and help pets find loving homes.
