A 49-year-old Polk man, Joseph Buckley, is facing multiple charges after allegedly trying to hit his son with a vehicle while the boy waited for his school bus in Frenchcreek Township. According to state police, the incident followed an ongoing argument, and the boy had to jump out of the way twice as Buckley allegedly swerved toward him. A witness at the bus stop corroborated the account. The boy was not injured. Buckley is charged with endangering the welfare of children, reckless endangerment and simple assault, and remains in the Venango County Jail unable to post bail, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for Feb. 25.
