Postal worker comes to man’s aid

A postal worker freed a Sugarcreek man’s leg Friday afternoon after the leg became trapped under a vehicle while the man was trying to change the brakes.

Sugarcreek Borough police were sent to the area of Elm and Fox streets at about 12:40 p.m. for reports of a man trapped under a vehicle.

Police said postal worker Danny Workman of Franklin had already helped free the 34-year-old man’s leg by the time officers arrived.

The man refused medical treatment, police said.

The accident occurred when the vehicle became dislodged from the jack and stands, causing the rotor to pin the man’s leg, police said.
