PPC network offering self-defense classes

The PPC Violence Free Network and shelter is hosting three free self-defense classes in conjunction with Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

The classes are scheduled Monday at the Oil City YWCA (4 p.m. registration and 4:30 p.m. start), Wednesday at the Oil City YMCA (3:30 p.m. registration and 4 p.m. start) and Sunday, Oct. 27, at the Franklin YMCA (1 p.m. registration and 1:30 p.m. start).
PPC is partnering with the Oil City YWCA, Oil City and Franklin YMCAs and the Venango County Sheriff’s Department to provide tips to be aware of potential dangerous situations and to give tools to defend against a possible attack.
