‘Read Across Franklin’ scheduled Saturday

The Franklin Public Library is inviting the public to participate in “Read Across Franklin” on Saturday, a townwide reading event with interactive reading experiences for children and their parents.

The event is free and open to the public.

The schedule for the day: 10:30 a.m., Franklin Public Library, read with a certified therapy dog; 11:30 a.m., storytime at Amy’s Closet & Sassy Gifts; 12:30 p.m., storytime at Porch Music Store; 1:30 p.m., storytime at Underground Bookstore.

When families engage in their first activity of the day at the library, they will pick up participation materials.

No registration is necessary. Children who attend all four activities will receive a prize.

Additional participating businesses offering activities, discounts, and prizes include Subway, Buffalo Street Lanes, Olde Liberty, The Bistro at Pizza Joe’s, and Fox’s Pizza Den.
