Regional cold front is dangerous, meteorologists say

A cold front bringing snow squalls and dangerous wind chills has prompted the National Weather Service to issue a cold weather advisory for the Oil Region, with another advisory likely later this week. Meteorologists warn the extreme cold could cause burst pipes, hazardous travel and river ice buildup, especially with wind gusts up to 26 mph. Residents are urged to take precautions, while only light additional snowfall is expected this week, with a brief midweek warm-up before colder conditions return.
