A change in dates has been announced for an upcoming temporary closure of Tippecanoe Road (Route 4005) in support of the Interstate 80 Canoe Creek Bridges project in Clarion County.
It was first planned that Tippecanoe Road would be closed to through traffic starting today through March 25. But due to weather issues, the closure will now run from March 25 through April 2.
Tippecanoe Road will be closed between Thompson Hill Road and Stromyers Road. To detour, motorists should use Route 4005 to Route 338 to Route 208 to Route 2007 (Huckleberry Ridge Road) back to Route 4005.
The detour route is 13.5 miles and takes about 20 minutes.
The closures are necessary to allow crews to safely complete demolition and construction activities associated with the ongoing bridge reconstruction project.
Access will be maintained for local traffic up to the closure points.
