The Oil Region Alliance announced the winners of its fifth annual Oil Region Tourism Awards, highlighting the region’s standout food, drink, destinations, and advocates. Winners included the Trail Blazer Burger at Trails to Ales for Best Dish, the Happy Camper at Woods & River Coffee for Best Drink, and Miller Park B\&B for Best Stay. Franklin businesses dominated several categories, with The Printers Cabinet and Curiosities winning Best Shop, the Barrow-Civic Theatre named Best Destination, and Franklin on Ice honored as Best Event. The contest saw its first tie, with Amanda Power and Dave Ballard sharing Best Advocate, and its first under-18 winner, Will’s Christmas Blow Up Extravaganza, which earned Best Scenic Selfie Spot. Organized by the ORA, the awards celebrate unique local experiences and winners will be recognized at a reception in October.
