The Venango Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for its annual Outstanding Citizen award.
The chamber bestows the award upon an individual or individuals who consistently show civic leadership through volunteerism and service to the community.
The nominating committee is seeking Venango County citizens who demonstrate a well-rounded and deep-rooted commitment to family and community. Nominees must be community volunteers with records of extensive and diverse participation in community service and civic involvement, aside from accomplishments directly related to the candidate’s employment.
Those wishing to nominate individuals for the award must submit an official nomination form along with a nominating letter that describes the nominee’s background and qualifications for this award.
The nomination form can be found at the chamber, located at 24 Seneca St., Oil City, or by visiting venangochamber.org.
