Venango liquor license one of 25 up for bid

From staff reports

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, the state agency that issues, renews and validates retail and wholesale alcohol licenses, is accepting bids for awarding 25 expired restaurant/liquor licenses.

Two of those licenses are in this area – one in Rouseville in Venango County and the other in Sharon in Mercer County. The license holders aren’t publicly identified by the state agency.

The licenses up for auction are not those held by existing establishments, according to the PLCB. Once purchased, the license can be transferred to other locations within the same county.

The minimum bid for each license is $25,000. The bids are due March 25 to the state.
