Cranberry public parks will open Monday

From staff reports

The two public parks in Cranberry Township will open for the season Monday.

Township supervisors agreed at a meeting Thursday to open Morrison Park and Moody Park. The restroom facilities will be in operation, and trash containers will be installed early in the week.

Township manager Chad Findlay said pavilion rentals in the parks would resume for June.

In other matters at Thursday’s meeting, the supervisors appointed Eric Heil, a retired Franklin police officer, to the township’s zoning hearing board.

Alexis Ziegler and Jesse York were hired as summer workers.

The township building’s front office will remain closed to the public until further notice.
