Eight Cranberry High School students joined the new Cranberry Clay Busters trap shooting club this year, practicing weekly at Allegheny Valley Sportsman Association in Tionesta and competing through the USA Clay Target Shooting League. Colton Schwab ranked second in the local conference, with three teammates also placing in the top 500 out of 1,444 PA high school shooters. At the state competition in Elysburg, Clayton Schwab led the team with a 90/100 score and earned a patch for 25 consecutive hits. The team will send five shooters to nationals in Michigan this July. Sponsors are needed to help cover costs.
