A Cooperstown man died after he crashed his motorcycle Friday.
Franklin state police said Rod E. Urey, 57, died after his 2011 Harley-Davidson Street Glide failed to negotiate a left curve on Ridgeview Road in Plum Township at 6 p.m.
Urey was traveling westbound on Ridgeview Road, when his motorcycle exited the road near Minnigh Lane. The front of the motorcycle impacted into a tree, and came to a rest east of Minnigh Lane, police said.
Venango County Coroner Christina Rugh said that Urey died from blunt force trauma to the head.
Chapman Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the scene.
