County provides two help lines

Local help through Venango County Human Services is available for people who have feelings of depression during the holiday season.

The county’s Warm Line offers non-emergency peer telephone support for people who may be mildly depressed or just need someone to talk to.

The Warm Line is available Monday through Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., excluding holidays. That number is (814) 677-4759.

Venango County’s Protective, Intake and Crisis line is for people with acute needs who are in crisis.

The PIC Unit telephone number is (814) 432-9111. It is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
