Cranberry hears progress on Aires Hill Bridge, receives new equipment

At their recent meeting, Cranberry Township supervisors approved the purchase of new equipment and vehicles, including a \$17,205 leaf blower and two trucks, to support road and maintenance work. They also discussed progress on the Aires Hill Bridge, which is awaiting new beams for installation, with the abutments ready and components to be assembled in-house. Road crews have completed a variety of tasks, such as pothole repairs, ditch work, and replacing a fire hydrant, while utilities staff are working to connect Rhoades Trailer Park to the township’s water and sewer systems despite lacking infrastructure maps. Additionally, long-time Administrative Assistant Pam Exley announced her retirement after over 25 years of service, and the township is now seeking applicants for her replacement and summer positions. Zoning Officer Regina DeLoe reported \$1.83 million in improvements and noted storm water violations near Walmart due to broken drainage pipes on nearby properties.
