Election preparations in full swing in Venango County

Venango County Elections Director Laura Anna, left, reads off the results of the practice ballots cast on Friday during the public voting machine testing.

The Venango County Elections Office conducted its public voting machine test Friday morning at the Courthouse Annex ahead of Tuesday’s municipal election. Elections Director Laura Anna led the process, casting several practice ballots to confirm machine accuracy. The county’s high-speed ballot tabulator was also tested and successfully sorted ballots into the proper trays. Venango County voters will elect four unopposed county row officers, a magisterial district judge, and numerous local and school board officials.
